Grateful for this feature in Bold Journey. The questions pushed me to think harder than most interviews do, especially about how self-care and inspiration actually show up in the work. I paired the piece with images from Inquietude, since the contemplative tone felt right for it.

Significant Colour - PH21 Gallery Barcelona
Two images from my new series Body Memory are being shown in Barcelona at PH21 gallery. The image titles are Folds and Abundance. Top Images of the Year - LA Photo Curator
Thank you to Laurie Freitag for choosing my image Selves as one of the top images of 2025. I made this image during the height of the pandemic, but looking at it now I feel like I could have made it today. It’s interesting how a single image can carry a completely different meaning from one year to the next.

Winter Solstice - Griffin Museum
Winter Solstice, the winter members show at the Griffin Museum, is about bringing light to the community in the dark days of winter. I thought Hold Onto the Light was the perfect image to include.

2025 International Juried Exhibition- Center for Photographic Art
I just got back from a trip to Carmel, where I was included in the 2025 International Juried Exhibition, juried by Cig Harvey. I met Ann Jastrab in person, and there was a lot of talent on these walls. Forty-five images are included, and the show is up through January 4th. If you're local, go see it in person. Portal - A Smith Gallery
It's fitting that my image Portal, from my series Blue, was selected by Ann Jastrab for the show Portal at A Smith Gallery. Thank you, Ann. I met Amanda and Kevin via Zoom and learned about their gallery, which shows a lot of strong work. My image was also chosen for The 27, a limited edition hardbound book that accompanies the show, and they did an artist talk and read a small statement I prepared. Links to both below.

Arpad Kovacs Selects 2025 - Atlanta Photography Group
Arpad Kovacs Selects is on view at the Atlanta Photography Group, curated by Arpad Kovacs, a curator at the Getty Museum. My piece in the show, Untouched, is from my series Blue. I'll be participating in the artist talk on Zoom on September 4th at 4 PM PST. The show will be on view in Atlanta through September 19th.
Journeys - Praxis Photo Center
My piece Opening is included in the show Journeys at Praxis Photo Arts Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show runs from May 17–June 14, and the opening reception is Saturday, May 17, from 6–8 p.m. I wish I could be there.

A Fervent and Necessary Arrangement - Midwest Nice Art
When I saw the call for "a fervent and necessary arrangement" from Midwest Nice Art, it caught my attention right away. This collective is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota, just a few hours from where I grew up in Brookings. It's good to see contemporary photography being promoted from my home state. The call itself is drawn from a line in Mary Oliver's poem "Sometimes." Thank you to curator André Ramos-Woodard for including my video piece Murmurations, the first time I've submitted one of my video pieces to an open call. When I saw the theme, I thought of this piece right away, since while shooting it, I felt the orbs were little souls being ferried to the beyond.

Exhibition Curation for Duluth Art Institute
I curated this show of student work from the University of Minnesota Duluth, presented at the Duluth Art Institute, bringing the student pieces together under the theme Within // Without. Thanks to professors Gloria Bush and Kristen Pless for the opportunity, and to Madeline Kayser for working with me to bring the show together.
